SUMMARY

Sequel series that takes place five years after Dragon Ball Z, this was the first series that was not based on the original manga, as the entire story had been covered by Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z.  The first 16 episodes were skipped in their initial US airing and home video release and replaced with a clip show to condense the story of these into one episode.  Later the original 16 episodes aired after the rest of GT finished airing. There were two English dubs produced.  The US run was voiced by the same group Funimation used for Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z.  The Ocean Group/Blue Water dubbed the episodes for the Canadian and European markets, but they used an all-new voice cast for their English dub. The GT in the title stands for 'Grand Tour.'
