FACTS:

BraveStarr was the last Filmation cartoon series, as the company was bought out and forced to close its doors in 1989.

In "The Price" anti-drug episode, the kid who takes the drug 'Spin' not only gets sick but dies at the end!  BraveStarr stands over his grave in the moral at the end.  A cartoon first depicting a child's death!

The series was created and developed by Filmation first and Mattel produced the toys.  This was a reversal of how the He-Man series and most 1980s shows were created by the toy company first, and had an animated series later developed.

Mattel produced and released the toys in late 1986, a year before the show premiered, leading to the toyline's demise.
