SUMMARY
In the year 2071, Spike Spiegel, Jet Black, Faye Valentine, Edward and Ein travel in the space ship Bebop to catch criminals and collect the bounties on them.  Along the way, we learn about each of the characters' pasts.  This ground breaking anime series also includes one of the best soundtracks. Twelve episodes were originally broadcasted in Japan on TV Tokyo before being canceled due to violence.  A clip show episode (#27) was created bring closure to show before it was picked up and finished its run on the WOWOW Network in Japan.  The English dub was created for home video in 1999.  Cartoon Network broadcasted this same English dub of Cowboy Bebop in its inaugural Adult Swim block beginning in Sept. 2001.  Certain episodes were held back in the initial airing due to violence and being around the 9/11 terrorist attacks.  The show has aired intermittently on Cartoon Network ever since.
