SUMMARY:
Sabrina the Teenage Witch was Filmation’s second attempt at adapting an Archie Comics character. Sabrina made her animated debut in the previous season’s Archie Comedy Hour. The following year, Sabrina was given her own hour long spin-off series teaming up with the new Groovie Ghoulies feature. The Groovie Ghoulies were created by Filmation and star a group of teenage monsters that perform in their own band. A soundtrack similar to the Archies was released along with the show. The following year, Sabrina and the Groovie Ghoulies were each spun out into their own 30 minute series. The Groovie Ghoulies didn’t get new episodes, but Sabrina did.
