SUMMARY: 
Based on the popular comic strip by Mort Walker of the bungling military private, 50 six-minute cartoon shorts were made for syndication.  A TV pilot special was produced for CBS in 1989 but never aired.  It was later included on DVDs along with the 1960s animated shorts.
