SUMMARY:

Maya the Bee is an independent young worker bee, who wants to find more honey for her hive.  Willi accompanies her on her mission and they explore the beauty of the world outside of their hive.  Based on the book by Waldemar Bonsels, Maya the Bee even had her own Broadway show.  The series was dubbed in many languages and two English version exist. The first was produced for South Africa and the second was produced by Saban and aired on Nickelodeon in the US. The Saban dub utilized all the episodes from the first 1975 series as well as ten episodes from the second series that aired in German first in 1979.
