SUMMARY:
Marsupliami first appeared in
comics published in France and Belguim in 1952 by Andre Franquin. The character
was rebooted in 1987 in a new series of comics. Disney got the rights to the
character and he first appeared in Disney’s Raw Toonage series. The following
year, Marsupilami shared his show with Sebastian the Crab (from the Little
Mermaid) and Shnookums and Meat (who also got their own show later.) NOTE: Marsupilami had two shorts per show and
the other short rotated with either Sebastian or Shnookums and Meat. After Marsupliami
was canceled by CBS, the publishing company that owns the character, Marsu, and
Disney got into a legal battle and he hasn’t been seen since
on any Disney Media since.
