02.13.2018 - WARNER ARCHIVE TO RELEASE THE BISKITTS on DVD

Warner Archive plans to release The Biskitts: The Complete Series, as part of their DVD made-on-demand Hanna-Barbera Classic Collection on Feb 20th. This series aired from 1983-84 on CBS and featured tiny puppy dogs and their adventures.  Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime, was one of the key voice actors of this series.

Hidden deep in the swamp, tiny Biskitt Castle is home to the smallest dogs in the world, the Biskitts! For years kings have entrusted their royal treasure to these pups. Now, from a nearby castle, rules the wasteful King Max... and so begins every fantasy and fun-filled episode of this little seen bit of animated family magic from the maestros at Hanna-Barbera. Effectively bridging the gap between two eras of the storied studios output, The Biskitts blends the kid-friendly vibe of shows like The Monchhichis and The Snorks with the funny adventure blend found in shows like Wacky Races and Jabberjaw . The Merry Men-like band of miniature medieval mutts guard the treasures of Biskitt Castle from the likes of evil King Max (Kenneth Mars), Max's jester Shecky (Kip King), Max's Dogs Fang and Snarl (Mars and Peter Cullen) while trying to avoid getting eaten by The Moat Monster (Frank Welker) or the wildcat Scratch (Cullen).
